Clue
A Clue (also called “Hint”) is an informational challenge. It presents content — text, images, video, even 360-degree scenes — without asking you to answer anything.

How it works
Section titled “How it works”- The clue content appears: text, images, and/or a video
- Read or watch the content
- The challenge completes when you’re done
There’s no quiz, no answer, no right or wrong. Clues are used for storytelling — to set up the next challenge, give you context about a location, or deliver part of the event narrative.
Scoring
Section titled “Scoring”Clues can award points (set by the organizer) or no points at all. Some organizers even configure negative points for clues — taking away points as a “cost” for viewing a hint.
Common uses
Section titled “Common uses”- Welcome message — The first thing you see when an event starts
- Story setup — Background information before a challenge
- Navigation help — Directions to the next challenge location
- Goodbye message — A wrap-up at the end of the event
