Clue

A Clue (also called “Hint”) is an informational challenge. It presents content — text, images, video, even 360-degree scenes — without asking you to answer anything.

  1. The clue content appears: text, images, and/or a video
  2. Read or watch the content
  3. The challenge completes when you’re done

There’s no quiz, no answer, no right or wrong. Clues are used for storytelling — to set up the next challenge, give you context about a location, or deliver part of the event narrative.

Clues can award points (set by the organizer) or no points at all. Some organizers even configure negative points for clues — taking away points as a “cost” for viewing a hint.
